This is a half hour of physical fun for kids. We focus on fun and enjoying physical activity and social interaction with other children. Basic hand eye co ordination is taught. Modified balls and court size makes tennis more enjoyable and accessible to kids at this age. Again we encourage and support all our players to develop and progress through the various classes we have. We also encourage those players who like to just have fun and are not interested in progressing. We believe that a child needs to have physical activity in their lives. |

Aviva Tennis Hot Shots is the only nationally recognised tennis grassroots participation program that is endorsed by Tennis Australia. From the first moment children participate in Aviva Tennis Hot Shots, they will actually “Play the Game of Tennis”. Aviva Tennis Hot Shots is revolutionising tennis by using modified equipment. The use of modified balls and courts offers a unique stepping stone into tennis and skill development pathway, allowing every player to obtain maximum enjoyment.
All Aviva Tennis Hot Shots participants receive the following:
- An Aviva Tennis Hot Shots Player Pack, which includes an Aviva Tennis Hot Shots t-shirt, an ITF-approved modified (red) ball, a player's passport, a sponge ball and a tote bag
- exclusive access to Aviva Tennis Hot Shots competitions
- exciting website, featuring latest news, take home activity challenges, videos, interactive games, and competitions

This is a 90-minute class. This is more of a squad environment where the players develop more of a competition mind and attitude. The players will be rallying and developing match play skills and progress into more challenging physical drills. Again we encourage and support all our players to develop and progress through the various classes we have. We also encourage those players who like to just have fun and are not interested in progressing. |

Cessnock Tennis Club Membership
All people who participate in classes or a private with Trudi Musgrave Tennis will need to pay annual Tennis NSW Membership and Cessnock Tennis Membership.The Tennis NSW and Cessnock Membership benefits include:
- Injury insurance coverage by Tennis NSW for player at Cessnock tennis courts during training or playing tournaments.
- Injury insurance coverage by Tennis NSW for player playing in any NSW sanctured tournament.
- Tennis NSW financial year runs from 1st July to 30th June the next year. So new members will not receive TNSW cards until the club forwards the new membership in July.
- Junior members can use the Cessnock courts during daylight hours free.
- Allows members to play in club tournaments.
- Allows members to play in tournaments at other club.
- Upgrading club facilities.
